The “My Job Depends on Ag” Ultra4 Unlimited Car will be at the final round of the Nitto Nor Cal Rock Racing Championship Series in Rancho Cordova, CA at Prairie City SRVA Saturday July 15th. Consistent well placed finishes throughout the series puts them tied for fourth place in series points going into the final race. “We are just going to keep doing what we’ve been doing this season; racing smart and having an absolute blast!” says Brian Wood, owner and driver.
Coming off their first King of the Hammers finish they decided last minute to run the NCRR series. The 4400 Ultra 4 car, a Trent Fabrication Top Self chassis, is running the best it ever has. “We are prepping for this race just like we do every other short course race.” said Megan Stevenson, manager and co-driver. “Prep work is a huge part of racing; don’t take shortcuts.” This has proven true for the team as their car has withstood a beating this year with no big catastrophes.
With the car in good condition it has been a top priority for the team to start putting together a collection of key item spare parts. Thanks to Yukon Gear & Axle and Fearless Gear Inc. they will have a brand new, fully assembled, case and spool as well as a full set of front axle shafts and super joints for the car before this upcoming race. “Yukon and Fearless are amazing and their customer service is top notch” said Wood. “We wouldn’t be able to keep racing if it wasn’t for amazing companies like them.”
Only about a week away from race day both Brian and Megan say they are ready. Chalk it up to good planning, great teamwork, or just plain luck but there’s no doubt this dynamic boyfriend and girlfriend duo have great things in store for them.
You can watch them battle it out on July 15th at Prairie City SRVA located south of Sacramento, CA. Awards ceremony is immediately following the main event. Admission is $20 at the gate, Kids 12 & under are free. There are vendors, food, and amenities on site, and it is encouraged to bring chairs and shade structures.
